Originally from Seattle, Carly grew up riding with her mother Cara Anthony and equitation master Karen Healey.  During her formative years as a junior, Carly earned a string of impressive victories and accolades, and also competed in her first Grand Prix at the age of 14. Her junior career was punctuated by triumphant moments, including a coveted gold-medal in the USET Talent Search, winning the inaugural USHJA Emerging Athletes Program Final and the Ronnie Mutch Equitation Classic, and a commendable fourth-place finish in the prestigious ASPCA Maclay Finals.

After graduating from high school, Carly's talents caught the attention of the University of Georgia Equestrian Team, where she donned the colors of the Bulldogs. There, she not only earned a national title but also accrued numerous All-American honors, amassed an impressive tally of over 100 career wins, and acquired a Bachelor's degree in business management.

Post-graduation, Carly transitioned into the professional realm, embarking on a journey that took her to Europe, where she honed her skills working alongside Olympians Eric Lamaze and Ben Maher, as well as renowned horse dealer Neil Jones. Her path eventually led her to establish Carly Anthony Show Jumping, now firmly rooted in the United States. As a 5* rider, Carly continues to scale new heights in the world of show jumping, simultaneously nurturing the next generation of budding equestrians while cultivating her own business, alongside fellow people who share her unwavering passion for the sport and love for horses.

Carly's dedication extends beyond the arena. As a dedicated committee member of the Emerging Athletes Program, she lends her support to young talents who may lack the means or opportunities to broaden their horizons in the equestrian world. In 2021, she took over management of the Junior Sportsmanship award at the Winter Equestrian Festival from her mother. The award is given to the junior rider who exemplifies great horsemanship and sportsmanship in honor of her grandmother who was a strong believer in good sportsmanship.

This year, Carly has earned several podium placings with Portfolio Horses’ Jet Blue and Heavenly W. Highlights include a second-place finish in the Southern Arches Grand Prix CSI3*,  a third-place finish in the Grand Prix CSI3* with Heavenly W at HITS, and a podium finish in the ouglas Elliman Grand Prix Qualifier CSI5* with Heavenly W at the Hampton Classic.

As Carly continues to shine in the equestrian world, both as a rider and mentor, she plans to continue climbing the international rankings, help her clients achieve their riding goals, and produce quality young horses.
